1 Apologies: None
2 Present: Calvin Goreham (Chair), Pete Reason (Secretary), Sue Beare (Minutes secretary), Vera Cruickshank, Bob Tingley, Don Baker. Peter Worrell for Item 4 A) but stayed.
3 Minutes of the meeting on July 21st were accepted and signed
4 Matters arising:
A) Publicity for Web site. As this is now complete and functioning Peter suggested various ways of publicising it:
a. Contact local papers via Archent, EDP Local activity story linking with self-build hall and website 2 Peters
b. Village People Magazine. Short article and advertisement. To include Charity No. Pete W
c. Sextons Wheel. As above Pete W
d. A4 and A5 poster campaign Pete W and Calvin
e. Banner for front of Hall Pete W

B) Film Night First night supported by MIND Currently scheduled for Thursday 23rd October which may be week after Great Moulton’s first night. To show Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams. Free show, tea and coffee. Questionnaire seeking information about preferred evenings and type of film and BYO alcohol . Calvin
5 Matters for Consideration:
A) Social Club. No discussion yet with Tony Vera
B) BACS transfers. Open separate account to accept. Calvin
6 Correspondence
A) Letter from Miles Saltiel in response to condolences. File Pete
B) Request from SNC to hire hall for polling on May 7th 2015. Agreed price of £120 as in the past. Pete
7 Treasurer’s Report. The current accounts have £13902 and £5389; the deposit accounts each have £15020. There are funds to pay for the car park.
Calvin is completing the lottery grant form. The reasons for not offering all the services promised were discussed: ie no longer a call for Youth Club. A first aid course will be arranged for the village and the hall offered to St John Ambulance and Red Cross to hire for them to run courses. Pete

Re -decorating kitchen started: to continue this w/e and then gap for event booked All
10 Fundraising and Events
World War 1. Very successful. Agreed to repeat next year in October with Edith Cavell theme and more local information; ? research war memorial names Vera. Pete
Halloween very welcome last year. Do again Nov 1st 1 – 3pm £4 a child Vera
Christmas event for children to be repeated with financial help from Parish Council Sue
